Parkway Plaza is yet another Westfield mall and is the regional mall serving San Diego's East County. This indoor, single level mall is a necessity in scorching El Cajon.
Parkway Plaza was the first indoor regional mall built in San Diego County in the early 1970s. Growing up in San Diego, this was a big deal because there was nothing like it in El Cajon, where temperatures could get blistering in the summer. Over the years, Parkway Plaza has expanded as its client base has grown.
Parkway Plaza has a big food court, which is kind of the gathering spot for the mall. It also has a pretty good selection of sit-down restaurants, better than most Westfield malls, including Applebee's, On the Border, Pat & Oscars, and Jasmine Bistro.
