I would like to start a group for people interested in various fun activities. This could be coffee meetings, movies, sightseeing, shopping, volleyball, ice skating and/or other sports, and local events. There is no geographic or social barriers - anyone living anywhere in San Diego County is welcome.

I will certainly email you. Your posting is a refreshing change from the other postings which seek people in particular areas or in social groups. Its a Desi thing isn't it? But we are now in America...
First meeting should be a casual get-together for coffee and/or snacks at a Starbucks or similar.

What about Happy Hour which is usually between 4 to 7pm weekdays when drinks and appetisers are reduced prices? Lots of places do this in the Gaslamp, Little Italy, Hillcrest, Coronado, etc.
