We are moving to Vista from Seattle. I lived in Orange County but would be great to make friends in in Vista and San Diego area. Can some one please suggest good places to live in or near vista (affordable). Probably with Indian community.

hmm, i am in vista, but do not see much indian people around here like they are around San Deigo city. I might be wrong 'cos I just moved in December last year

with regards to your question - affordable living - i live in an apt. complex called Bella Terra and I pay $1030.00 for a one bedroom apt. Found this a better deal than other places i researched. Costco is on the back road, LA Fitness on front road and Hwy 78 is easily accesible.

Quality of the apartments is good. I am living single for now, but the whole apartment complex is filled with families and children playing by the pools especially since summer; mostly marines because of Camp Pendleton nearby. Apartment maintenance staff is also good and never had any problematic neighbors. My workplace is only around 5 miles from here, so it's great for me.
Will definitely recommend it for the cost-quality combo, nearby shopping centers and highway accessibility, if you are not too particular about being in midst of an indian crowd.
